Ingredients and Benefits.

OMG. Korean language I don't understand! :o) Here's the translation for everybody. 😀

Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Butylene Glycol, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Stearic Acid, Behenyl Booze, Phytosqualene, Man Ogliopeptide-1, Bee Venom, Arbutin, Adenosine, Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernal Oil, Glyceryl Stearate, Arginine, Carbomer, Urea, Tocopheryl leafage Excerpt, Salix Alba (Willow Bawl) Extract, Ulmus Campestris (Elm) Extract, Pentylene Glycol, Zanthoxylum Piperitum Fruit Extract, Pilsatilla Koreana Extract, Usnea Barbata (Lichen) Extract

  • Snail Secretion Filtrate

Yes, you read that right! SNAIL POO! Or rather, slimy snail discharge. If you're new to the Asian beauty skincare scene, the words "ew gross" might have popped up in your head. Residual bodacious it isn't well-nigh as bad as information technology sounds, and snails are kinda cute anyway! :p

cute-gary

And so why would yous desire to put snail doo-doo on your face? Simply put, because it'll turn your pare into a baby's butt. Well, not literally. Just, you know what I hateful…. it has a ton of benefits!

Snail mucin contains trace amounts of collagen, elastin, hyaluronic acid (all skin-identical ingredients), in addition to glycolic acid, allantoin, and a couple minerals including zinc, iron, copper, and maganese. A couple in vitro and in vivo studies take also shown it's good for anti-aging, acne, and wound treating. (i, two, 3) It might maybe help treat eczema as well. (4)

  • Glycerin

A humectant usually found in moisturizers. This helps keep the skin hydrated by reducing transepidermal water loss (TEWL) past binding water to the peel'southward surface.

  • Sodium Hyaluronate

Like glycerin, this is another humectant albeit fashion more capable of retaining h2o. In fact, sodium hyaluronate can concur up to 1000 times its water weight! It pulls water from both the atmosphere and underlying dermis (deeper layers of skin), to keep the epidermis hydrated. It'south so effective at doing this that it has a "plumping" effect on skin which reduces the appearance of shallowness. Enquiry has also shown it's a very effective wound-healing agent. (5)

  • Niacinamide

A.k.a. the sexy all star, the Kobe Byrant, the Michael Jordan of skincare ingredients. This puppy does a lilliputian chip of everything. Information technology helps brighten peel tone, treats acne improve than antibiotics, inhibits melanosome transfer which is adept for treating hyperpigmentation and skin discoloration, has anti-crumbling benefits, and increases skin hydration! (6, seven, 8, nine) Like I said, does a bit of everything. :p

And best of all, it'southward just a natural office of the B complex (vitamin B3 to exist exact).

  • Human Ogliopeptide-1

An epidermal growth cistron (EGF). Some preliminary studies are showing that EGF could finer treat acne scars and wrinkles. And interestingly enough, it seems like the management of acne scar revision volition exist using a combination of EGFs with high energy microneedling. (ten)

  • Bee Venom

Like snail mucin, the research on this ingredient is a bit deficient. Just the assumption is that it "tricks" your pare into thinking it received a bee sting which prompts an immune response to produce collagen and elastin (both skillful for anti-aging and scarring). (11, 12)

A couple of small in vivo studies have also shown using bee venom decreases wrinkles, and is helpful for treating acne. (13, fourteen)

  • Arbutin

An effective treatment for post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) because it inhibits tyrosinase, which is an enzyme that produces melanin — that is, the pigment that gives hair, eyes, and skin its color. Melanin is too what worsens PIH and uneven skin tone, and so it'southward important to go along this check when trying to care for general discoloration similar the brown, red, or purplish marks left behind mail service-inflammation.

  • Adenosine

A soothing and skin-restoring ingredient.

  • Helianthus Annus (Sunflower) Seed Oil

Composed of a few unlike fatty acids including five% palmitic acid, 6% stearic acid, 30% oleic acid, and 59% linoleic acid. (15). Research has shown that acne-prone skin has low levels of linoleic acid, so the assumption is that sunflower oil might help treat breakouts given that the free fatty acids in the oil become hydrolyzed. (16)

  • Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil

In that location are two variations of safflower oil: one high in oleic acid, and one high in linoleic acid. (17) Standard safflower oil mostly contains 71-75% linoleic acrid, which once again is presumably good for acne.

  • Arginine

An amino acid with antioxidant effects.

There are a ton of extracts in this formula (e.g. Willow Bark, Elm, Tocopheryl). Extracts are solutions made by soaking some herb or plant in alcohol for an extended menses of fourth dimension which infuses the liquid with botanical benefits.

It's hard to say exactly what these will do for pare because research on extracts equally a whole is bit limited. But they can't injure! And in all likelihood exert soothing and anti-irritant effects.

Application, Feel, and Olfactory property.

The consistency of the Benton Snail Bee High Content Steam Cream is pretty unique. It feels like a thick creamy oil. Kind of hard to explain, but one person described it has having a lot of "drag" to it. I couldn't have said it any improve myself! It's the but affair I don't like about the application process because it does take a while to rub in.

The showtime few times I tried applying it, it would create streaks of white that virtually look like partially rinsed soap. Here'south a photo of what I'm talking virtually.

benton-odd-spreading

Rest assured though, with enough GENTLE rubbing it eventually goes away. I have establish that y'all tin can avoid this birthday by simply patting it into the pare instead of spreading. Yet, information technology's very easy to overdue information technology with this method, which could lead to a slight polish end.

If rubbed in correctly it dries unnoticeably. It definitely leaves behind a bit of hydration, which is nice. As far as the olfactory property goes, information technology has a very subtle clean and medicinal odor. By far and large it's unnoticeable, unless y'all're really trying to focus on information technology.

Summary.

  • Ingredients : 5/5

Awesome blend of ingredients including Snail Secretion Filtrate, Glycerin, Sodium Hyaluronate, Niacinamide, Man Ogliopeptide-ane, Bee Venom, Arbutin, Adenosine, Sunflower Oil, Safflower Seed Oil, Arginine, and a few extracts! Quite the long list.

  • Benefits : v/5

Pretty moisturizing, expert for skin brightening, wound repair, and probably good for acne.

  • Application : 4/five

Doesn't spread equally hands as I would have liked. The application process takes a niggling getting use to, and requires more "patting" into the peel every bit opposed to rubbing.

  • Packaging : 5/five

No complaints here! Comes in a modest squeeze tube.

  • Value : 4/5

I would have loved if the canteen was a bit bigger. Compared to other moisturizers (east.g. CeraVe PM) this won't last every bit long, unfortunately.

Overall: 4.six/5 (Recommend!)

Overall a very solid Asian Beauty production, with the only major caveat beingness its spreadability, which will in all likelihood take some getting employ to. But aside from that I recommend this cream for anybody in search of a good moisturizer, or wanting to attempt snail doo-doo for the starting time time! :p

I promise yous've enjoyed this review.

Warmly,
